PST to IST Converter

Here PST means Pacific Time, PST (UTC−8) in its winter and PDT (UTC−7) in its summer, as kept in Los Angeles; IST means India Standard Time, UTC+5:30 all year. So IST is 13 h 30 min ahead of PST in January and 12 h 30 min ahead in July. Two 9-to-5 working days do not overlap at all, so one side has to start early or stay late.

Most people who search PST to IST sit on the US West Coast, in California, Washington or Oregon, and need to reach a colleague, a vendor or family in India. India never moves its clocks, so the whole one-hour swing comes from the Pacific side.

Rule of thumb: Add 13½ hours in winter or 12½ hours in summer, then flip am and pm and move to the next day: 8:00 am in San Francisco is 9:30 or 8:30 pm in India.
