Tools fill the screen like an app: the site’s header, footer and extra reading step aside, and a slim bar keeps search and the way out.
Every tool opens in app mode until you turn this off, here or with “Exit app mode” in a tool.

Advanced privacy
What you type into a tool is worked out in your browser and never sent to us. There are no accounts.
Google Analytics counts which pages are visited, never what you type. Turned off, it doesn’t load at all on this device.
- With usage stats on, analytics sees the page’s address without anything after “?” or “#”, so none of your inputs.
- It also sees a few actions, such as copying a link or printing, with simple labels and never your numbers or text.
